EXHAUST
Particle filter: Removal - Refitting

a
Refit the particle filter on the catalytic pre-converter.
a
Fit:
- a new sleeve on the particle filter (see 19B , Ex-
haust , Exhaust: Precautions for the repair , page
19B-18 ) ,
- the « particle filter pressure measurement pipe -
particle filter pressure sensor » assembly.
a
Clip the pressure measurement pipe of the particle
filter pressure sensor onto the heat shield.
a
Refit the particle filter pressure sensor mounting.
a
Fit the particle filter pressure sensor on its mounting.
a
Refit the particle filter pressure sensor on its mount-
ing.
a
Connect the particle filter pressure sensor connec-
tor.
a
Fit the « mounting - particle filter pressure sensor »
assembly.
a
Refit the particle filter pressure sensor mounting.
a
Position the particle filter temperature sensor wiring.
a
Connect the particle filter temperature sensor con-
nector.
a
Clip:
- the particle filter temperature sensor wiring,
- the particle filter downstream temperature sensor
connector on the exhaust heat shield.
a
Fit the exhaust heat shield.
a
Refit a new exhaust heat shield clip.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a
Refit:
- the lower engine tie-bars (see 1 9 D , Engine
mounting , Lower engine tie-bar: Removal - Re-
fitting , page 19D-85 ) ,
- the engine undertray.
a
Apply the after repair procedure using the Diagnos-
tic tool :
- connect the Diagnostic tool ,
- select « Injection computer » ,
- go to repair mode,
- display the « before/after repair procedure » for the
computer selected,
- select « Particle filter » in the « List of components
controlled by this computer » section,
- carry out the operations described in the « After re-
pair procedure » section.
IMPORTANT
Position the « nut and bolt securing the sleeve »
assembly so that the assembly cannot come into
contact with the underbody.
