II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a
Ensure:
- the position of the four wheel drive actuator ( 14 ) ,
- the routing of the wiring ( 15 ) ,
- the position of the actuator ( 16 ) linkage on the com-
pensator,
- the position, head down, of the actuator bolts ( 17 ) .
a
Refit the four wheel drive actuator by starting with
the linkage on the rear axle side and then on the
compensator side.
a
Clip the wiring strap.
a
Attach the actuator wiring on the fuel tank.
a
Connect the connectors.
a
Refit the earth strap.
a
Tighten to torque:
- the four wheel drive actuator's new nuts (84
N.m) ,
- the earth strap nut (8 N.m) .
a
Refit the ball joint protector.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a
Refit the fuel tank.
a
Tighten to torque:
- the fuel tank bolts (21 N.m) ,
- the fuel tank neck's earth bolt (21 N.m) .
a
Refit:
- the underbody protectors,
- the silencer heat shield,
- the automatic parking brake control unit support,
- the silencer (see Silencer: Removal - Refitting )
(19B, Exhaust).
a
Torque tighten the bolts on the automatic parking
brake control unit support (21 N.m) .
a
Connect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refit-
ting ) (80A, Battery).
a
Check the geometry of the axle assemblies (see
30A , General information , Axle assemblies:
Check , page 30A-19 ) .
