(2) Setting the Moving Average (AV-M)
The moving average function displays a simple average calculated by
summing the measurement values from the beginning of averaging, and
dividing by the number of samples, until the specified number of samples.
From that point on it discards the oldest data value as each new value is
added, thus yielding a simple average over the most recent specified number
of samples.
1. Press the
STATUS
key, then use the
PAGE
(
)
keys to display the "
TIME
" (time control) page.
2. Using the
CURSOR
keys, move the cursor to the
"
AVERAGING
" item.
3. Press
F3
(
Moving ave
).
4. Move the cursor to the specified number of
sampling item on the right, and set the number of
sampling using the function key.
5. Press the
MEAS
key to return to the measurement
screen, and averaging starts.
This has no connection with any time settings.
