key and corresponding soft menus; for programming methods
under program control mode, please refer to program control manual:
Method 1.
Set frequency measurement range through [Center Freq] and [Span].
Method 2.
Set frequency measurement range through [Start Freq] and [Stop Freq].
Method 3.
Frequency measurement range can be set through [Center Freq] and [Zero Span] should time
domain power be measured.
Method 4.
Frequency measurement range can be set through [Full Span] should the measurement of entire
frequency range be executed.
Caution
Zero span
When the span manually input is 0 Hz, the Series Signal Analyzer will automatically enter the zero span state
and execute the measurement of time domain power.
Method 5.
Frequency measurement range can be set quickly through [Last Span] should the frequency range
set last time be measured.
Method 6.
Frequency measurement range can be set quickly through [Auto Tune] should RF input signal be
barely understood.
The center frequency, start frequency and stop frequency can be set manually with number keys and adjusted
through the Up/Down key and knob on the front panel.

How to adjust frequency measurement range
When the measurement is being executed in the current frequency range, the following methods can help the
user quickly adjust the frequency measurement range:
Method 1.
The center frequency, start frequency and stop frequency can be adjusted through the Up/Down
key and knob on the front panel.
Step1.
Set frequency step.
The frequency step value desired by you can be inputted manually through the number keys on the front panel
by pressing
【

】
key on the front panel and then [CF Step].
Caution
Frequency step
When the frequency step is set to auto, the Up/Down key on the front panel is corresponding to frequency step
1, 2, 5 and 10; during zero span, the frequency step corresponding to the knob is 1/20 of current resolution
bandwidth; during non-zero span, the frequency step corresponding to the knob is 1/200 of current resolution
bandwidth.
Step 2.
Press the soft menu of [Center Freq], [Start Freq] or [Stop Freq] to be adjusted.
Step 3.
The adjustment can be realized by pressing the Up/Down key or knob on the front panel.
If the center frequency needs to be adjusted, press the Up key on the front panel once, then center frequency
will automatically change to current center frequency value plus frequency step size; while press the Down
key on the front panel once, then center frequency will automatically change to current center frequency value
minus frequency step size. The start frequency and stop frequency are adjusted in the same way provided
above.
