power socket is connected, the instrument shell will be grounded through the power line. The rated voltage of
the power line should be no less than 250V, and the rated current should be no less than 6A.
Connection of the power line to the instrument:
Step 1:
confirm that the power line is not damaged.
Step 2:
connect the power socket on the rear panel of the instrument to the well grounded three-core power
socket through the power line.
Warning
Grounding
Improper/wrong ground might lead to instrument destroy or even personal injury. It should be ensured that the
protective ground wire of the instrument and that of the power supply are in good contact before energizing to
start the Series Signal Analyzer.
Use the power socket with protective ground wire. Do not use the external cable, power line or
autotransformer subject to no grounding protection instead of the protective ground wire. If autotransformer is
used, its common terminal must be connected with the ground protection of the power connection.
2) Initial power-on
The method and precautions of initial power-on are as follows.
a)
Connection of power supply
Check the power supply parameters and the power cord before initial energizing. For details, refer to
―Precautions before energizing‖ in 3.1.1.3 of the Manual.
Step 1.
Connect power line: Connect one end of the supporting power line of the Series Signal Analyzer or the
three-core power line conforming to the requirements in the packing box to the power socket (as
shown in Fig. 3.1) on the rear panel of the Series Signal Analyzer. The voltage indicator of the Series
Signal Analyzer is marked beside the power socket to remind the user that the applied voltage should
conform to the requirements.
Connect the other end of the power cord to the required AC power supply.
Step 2.
turn on the power switch on the rear panel. As shown in Fig. 3.2, check whether the standby indicator
above the power switch on the front panel (as shown in Fig. 3.3) is ON and yellow.
Step 3.
Turn on the power switch on the front panel: as shown in Fig. 3.3, do not connect any device to the
Series Signal Analyzer before start-up. Start the instrument under normal conditions. After start-up,
the indicator above the power switch on the front panel will turn green.
