5.2.2.15 Marker Function
The

key on the front panel, is used for turning on the control instrument marker functions.
The Marker Function performs post-processing on the marker data. Its soft More includes [Marker Count ▶ ],
[Audio Demulation], [Noise Marker On/Off], [N dB Points On/Off], [Band/Interval Power On/Off],
[Band/Interval Density On/Off], [Band Adjust

● Menu description: to open Marker Count menu. Its soft More includes [Marker Count On/Off],
[Counter Gate].
[Marker Count ON OFF]
● Menu description: to turn on or off Marker Count. If there is no active marker, enabling this function
will activate an active marker at the center of screen. The Marker Count readout is not affected by the
Frequency Offset. To facilitate normal function of Marker Count, the SPAN/RBW should be less than
500.
In Zero Span, the Marker Count continues operation and counts the signals close to the Center Frequency
of the signal/spectrum analyzer.

Menu description: to control the length of time during which the Marker Count measures the signal
frequency. Gate time of 500ms or longer allows for less than 0.1Hz count accuracy. However, the longer
is the gate time, the slower is the key response.
