33) Set the output frequency of the synthesized signal generator as 50.05GHz and the center frequency of the
4051 analyzer as 50.05GHz.

39) Connect the test instrument as shown in Fig. 8.10 and then connect two output interfaces of the power
divider to 50 Ω load and the signal/spectrum analyzer respectively.

40) Set Peak Search for the 4051 analyzer and adjust the amplitude of the synthesized signal generator until
the 4051 amplitude reading is closest to the marker reading recorded in step 5.
41) Set Marker Delta for the 4051 analyzer.
42) Set the center frequency of the 4051 analyzer and the frequency of the synthesized signal generator as the
frequencies listed in the form and record the Marker Delta reading at each frequency point in the ―relative
50 MHz amplitude error‖ column in B8 of the 4051 Auxiliary Form.
43) Repeat step 37 for each frequency point in the form.
44) Record the 50 MHz amplitude error of the first point in ―amplitude error (band 0, 50 MHz ~ 4 GHz)‖ in
B8 of the 4051 Auxiliary Form in ―50 MHz amplitude error‖ under ―amplitude error (band 0, 0 MHz)‖.
