8.5.1.3.6 Three-order intermodulation distortion 

a)

 

Test items 

TOI distortion refers to the unwanted frequency component generated via interactions of two or more input 
signal spectrum components caused by device nonlinearity. 

It is produced by inputting at the same time two sine wave signals with frequency interval of 50 kHz and same 
power  generated  by  two  signal  generators  into  the  signal/spectrum  analyzer.  The  Marker  function  of  the 
signal/spectrum analyzer can be used directly to measure the TOI distortion product.
