If the soft key tab has
▶
symbol, it means a submenu of more soft keys is contained. Press such soft key
to display the submenu;
Return key is used to return to the previous menu.
3)
Soft keys operation
Press the soft key to execute one of the following actions:
Open a dialog box to enter data;
Enable or disable a function;
Open a submenu (only for soft keys with
▶
symbol).
4)
Identify status of soft keys by colors
The selected soft key will be displayed in highlight. If it is a switch soft key, it is currently highlighted as
black. If some instrument function cannot be used due to specific setting, relevant soft key will be disabled
and grayed out. Some soft key belongs to specific (fixed) option and will not be displayed if such option is not
installed.
3.2.1.6 Measurement setting key area
The measurement setting key area provides most commonly used measurement settings and functions as
shown in Table 3.6. Refer to ―5.2 Menu desperation‖ of the Manual for detailed description of functions.
Table 3.6-1 Description of measurement setting key area
Button name Function description
Frequency
To set center frequency, start and stop frequency and frequency step of frequency range of
current measurement. This key is also used to set frequency offset, auto tuning and signal
tracking.
Span/X Axis To set the frequency span to be analyzed or return to previous frequency span.
Amplitude/Y
Axis
To set reference level, attenuator, scale type, scale size, unit, reference level offset and
amplitude correction.
Measurement
setting
To set measurement average count, average type, limit line, phase noise optimization,
preselector, RF gain and ADC dither status.
Measurement
control
To set measurement stop or restart.
Bandwidth
To set resolution bandwidth, video bandwidth, VBW/RBW, frequency span/RBW, filter type
and filter bandwidth.
Scanning
To set sweep time, sweep count and to select continuous measurement OFF or ON.
Trigger
To select trigger mode, trigger threshold, trigger delay and trigger holdoff time.
Continuous
To select continuous measurement.
Singular
To select continuous measurement off.
Automatic
setting
To enable auto setting of mechanical attenuator, resolution bandwidth, video bandwidth,
VBW/RBW, frequency span/RBW, sweep time and frequency step.
Track
To obtain and analyze trace configuration of measurement data.
Display
To set display line, language, graticule, status area and frequency information status.
Marker
To set absolute and relative positioning measurement marker (marker and delta marker).
Mrk
To give marker frequency to center frequency, marker to frequency step, marker to start
frequency, marker to stop frequency and marker level to reference level.
