4.2 Advanced operation guide

Set the signal generator frequency as 300 MHz and amplitude as -80 dBm; connect RF output of the
signal generator to the input port of the analyzer.
Step 3. set center frequency, frequency span and reference level of the analyzer:

, [Span] and enter 5 MHz.

, [RefLevel] and enter -40 dBm.
Step 4. turn on video average function:

and [Average] to prompt ―Average type: video‖ at top right corner of the screen and
display average count.
As averaging of the trace continues, small signals get more and more clear. The default average count is 100.
Step 5. set average count as 25:

and [Average Num].
Enter 25 from the number input area on the front panel and press

or press [Confirm] in the soft menu
as shown in Fig. 4.28.
At the moment, average count displayed in the annotation window on the top of the screen will change to 25.
Once the average count is set, the analyzer will continue to average operation on the basis of such count.
If you wish to stop the measurement after the average count is reached, you may use single sweep function.
