Other instructions:
The mechanical attenuator, in general, is set as Auto ON mode. When the reference level changes, the
attenuation will automatically change, but this does not change the reference level. This change aims to ensure
that the maximum signal amplitude of the input mixer is less than or equals to -10dBm. For example, if the
reference level is +23dBm and the mixer input level is -17dBm, the mixer is 40dB (23- 40= -17). The final
purpose is to prevent signal compression. When the mechanical atten is under Auto Off mode, press the
[Mech Atten Auto Man], couple the attenuation to the reflevel again.
Note: the maximum input signal amplitude of the input attenuator (at least 10dB input attenuation) is +30dBm,
otherwise, this power signal will damage the mechanical attenuator or the input mixer.
[Mech Atten Step 2dB 10dB]

Menu description:
to control the step of the mechanical attenuator. The step size can only be increased
or decreased by 10dB or 2dB. For 2dB step, the input mixer level can be set based on input signal
optimization to improve measurement dynamic scope.

[Max Mixer Level]

Menu description:
to set the input maximum mixer level. This level is used as the maximum level limit
of the input mixer for assignment of reference level. The level is equivalent to reference level value
minus the attenuator decrement When the reference level changes, the mechanical attenuator also
changes to ensure that the signal display on the reference level will not be larger than the maximum
mixer level. If the maximum mixer level decreases, the instrument will automatically optimize the
distortion performance under default measurement mode. If the maximum mixer level increases, the
mixer may be damaged by excessive input signal. This parameter cannot be changed unless the user has a
good knowledge of the signal analyzer.
