Peak Ratio Parameters
•
Select the
Use Peak Height
option button to perform a quantitation based on
peak height (Relative Fluorescence Units (RFU)).
•
Select the
Use Peak Area
option button to perform a quantitation based on peak
area (mm x RFU).
•
(Optional) If desired, enter the known quantity of your reference peak in the
Reference Peak Known Quantity
field. This value must be entered into
scientific notation
. Select the
units
for the quantity from the drop-down list
box. The options are
moles
,
grams
,
molarity or g/L
. The system uses this
information to calculate the quantity of DNA in the other results.
Highlight Variation
•
Select the
Highlight Variant Ratios
check box to enable the system to
highlight any result ratios that deviate from average values. The criteria for variant
ratios are specified by either the
Standard Deviation
about the mean or the
%
Error
.
•
Select the
Standard Deviation
option button to enable the system to base its
criteria for identifying any variant ratios on the number of standard deviations
from the mean. Input the number of the standard deviation that the system will
allow a ratio to reach before it considers the ratio to be variant.
•
Select the
% Error
option button to enable the system to base its criteria for
identifying any variant ratios on the percentage of error. Input the value of the
percentage of error that the system will allow a ratio to reach before it considers
the ratio to be variant.
Peak Ratio Result Table
The system will perform the analysis upon the selection of a reference and at least one
test peak.
•
Select the
Show Excluded
check box if you would like the result table to display
peaks excluded from the analysis.
•
The
Status
column displays an “R” if the result has been selected as a reference.
•
The
Result
column displays the result name.
•
The
Ratio R/T
column displays ratio of the reference peak to the test peak.
•
The
Ratio T/R
column displays the ratio of the test peak to the reference peak.
•
The
Timestamp
column displays time the quantitation was performed.
•
The
Sample Name
column displays sample name.
•
The
Reference Peak Height
column displays the height of the selected
reference peak.
•
The
Test Peak Height
column displays the height of the selected test peak.
•
The
Test Peak Quantity
column displays calculated quantity of the test peak
based on user-supplied reference values.
•
The
Comments
column displays any of the user’s comments that have been
associated with the result.
