When finished setting the bin analysis parameters, click
Next
. The new parameters
will be applied to the scatter plot and the bins will be assigned as specified.

Bin Analysis View
Once the bin analysis parameters have been applied to the selected data, the system
displays the results of the bin analysis. This bin analysis view is composed of three
areas representing the selected results.
The
Bin View
consists of a scatter plot diagram showing the Fragment Size (x-axis)
versus the Relative Signal Strength (y-axis). The points plotted represent the results
selected in the creation of the study. The bins are defined and visible with the majority
of the result points within their borders.
Each trace from which the points in the bin were derived can be displayed in the
Trace View
area at the right of the window. Traces to be displayed are selected by
clicking on a point in the bin view. The selections are stacked in the trace view area.
The
Allele List
is initially developed from the information provided in the first
window of the Bin parameters plus the data from the fragment list (see previous).
When the analysis is complete, the user can make corrections to the allele list using the
tools described below.
A
Phase Shift
moves all identified bins by a user-selected integer (nucleotide) value
in either direction. This feature can be used to override the system-determined position
of perfect repeat alleles.
