Exporting
You may export the active compared sequence in either of three formats; text (*.txt),
tab delimited text (*.txt) and protein (*.pro). The text file will export the base
sequence of the consensus. In tab delimited text files, data appears in a single line and
all carriage returns (
↵
) are replaced with tabs (
→
). The protein file will export the
amino acid sequence. You may specify one of two protein formats; Condensed or
Expanded, in the Preferences dialog box under the File menu.
If you specify Condensed, all protein translations will be provided in the same text
line. Heterozygotes will be designated within brackets.
If you specify Expanded, all possible translations will be exported on different lines.

The export formats available are text files (
*.txt
) and protein files (

). Click
OK
to
export the data. An hourglass will be displayed while the data is being exported.
If a file with the same name exists in the selected directory, you will be given the
option to overwrite the existing file or rename the new file.
