CEQ™ 8000 Genetic Analysis System
Peak Ratios
Once a Study is created, you can begin Peak Ratio calculations. Peak Ratio
calculations involve the analysis of a result from a study that quantifies the amount of
DNA present in a fragment. The quantity of DNA is calculated by the system by
relative comparison to a user defined reference peak.
Beginning a Peak Ratio Calculation
Once you have created a Study, peak ratios can be calculated.
•
From the
Analysis
menu, select the
New Peak Ratio
command.
•
The
New Peak Ratio
window will be displayed.
Figure 153:New Peak Ratio window
The Peak Ratio window displays all of the result data and the selected parameters used
to quantify the amount of DNA present in your sample.
Reference Result Peaks
This area shows the selected reference and test peak information. The reference result
is selected by the user and contains the best reference and test peaks for the system to
use for a relative analytical comparison of trace peaks.
Any number of Test Peaks may be selected, but only one Reference
Peak may be selected for each Peak Ratio Analysis.
