Selecting a Reference Peak
•
A reference peak is a trace peak selected by the user from the reference result
trace. The reference peak is compared to the test peak and a relative length, height
and area are then calculated by the system. These results are added to the Peak
Ratio Results Table.
•
To select the reference peak
, right-click on an individual peak from the selected
Result Set Trace
located
at the top of the
Fragment Result Set Traces
area
of the window.
•
From the drop-down menu displayed, select the
Reference Peak
command.
•
Once a peak is selected as a reference peak the system will calculate the length,
area and height of the test peaks by comparison and will enter this information into
the Quantitation Result Table.
•
To de-select the reference peak from the Reference Result Peaks table
,
right-click
on the reference peak and de-select the Set Peak As Reference
command to toggle the command to the “off” position (unchecked).
•
To de-select the reference peak from the Fragment Result Set Traces area
,
right-click
on the reference peak to open the drop-down menu.
•
Open the
Peak
sub-menu and de-select the
Reference
command (unchecked).
Selecting a Test Peak
•
A test peak is a trace peak selected by the user from the reference result trace. The
test peak is compared to the reference peak and a relative height and area are then
calculated by the system. These results are added to the Peak Ratio Results Table.
•
To select the test peak
, right-click on an individual peak from the selected
Result Set Trace
located
at the top of the
Result Set Traces
area of the
window.
•
From the drop-down menu displayed, select the
Test Peak
command.
•
Once a peak is selected as a test peak the system will calculate the area and height
by comparison with the reference peak and will enter this information into the
Peak Ratio Result Table.
•
Each selected test peak is used to calculate ratios with the corresponding reference
peak of the same trace.
•
Select test peaks in the same manner until all desired peaks are identified.
•
To de-select a test peak from the Reference Result Peaks table
,
right-click
on
the test peak and de-select the Set Peak As Test command to toggle the command
to the “off” position (unchecked).
•
To de-select a test peak from the Fragment Result Set Traces area
,
right-click
on the test peak to open the drop-down menu.
•
Open the
Peak
sub-menu and de-select the
Test
command (unchecked).
