Convert Individual IDs to Subject IDs
This menu option (Figure 177) is used to convert all sample data records that use
Individual IDs to records that use Subject IDs. This applies only to the working
database
only and is active only when the working database is selected. All other
modules must be closed prior to the start of conversion.
To convert individual IDs to subject IDs, follow these steps:
1. Select the database to convert and ensure that it is the
Working Database
.
2. Select To
ols | Convert Individual ID to Subject ID
(see Figure 177).
The conversion takes place in the background and the message Conversion Completed
Successfully message will appear, in the message bar, when completed (see
Figure 177).
The Subject ID attribute is carried to the sequence and fragment records that were
generated from the converted sample data record. A new
Subject ID column is added
to all existing studies and the Individual ID column is removed.
When a non-working database is selected for conversion, the menu item is
not available.
