The system will measure the gel volume accurately and will determine whether
or not to proceed with the run.
4. If the actual volume (re-estimated by the system) is greater than 1.5 mL more than
the total volume needed to run the plate, the system will automatically start the
plate.
5. If the actual volume (re-estimated by the system) is less than 1.0 mL more than the
total volume to run the plate, you will be presented with the dialog box in
Figure 85.

6. Click
Accept
to proceed with the run. If the run is selected to continue, specify the
sample sets to run. Select
Replace Gel Cartridge
to replace the gel cartridge
before the run.
Gel Volume Notification
A dialog box will warn you if you attempt any operation requiring gel when there is
not enough gel in the cartridge to perform the operation.
You will be presented with the warning message in Figure 86 if you attempt to
perform a capillary gel fill when the cartridge does not have enough gel.
