Simple voltage output and current measurement 

This example demonstrates how to configure a voltage output make a precision voltage and current 

measurement using the default instrument configuration. This measurement is made in the power 

supply function. 

 

Equipment required 

 

One 2281S power supply 

 

1 kΩ resistor 

 

Two banana cables 

 

Set up remote communications 

You can run this application from the front panel or any of the supported communication interfaces for 

the instrument (GPIB, USB, or ethernet). 

The following figure shows the rear-panel connection locations for the remote communication
