Home screen for the power supply function
The following default screen is displayed when you choose the power supply function. Descriptions of
the numbered screen areas are in the table following the figure.

Description
1 System status and event
indicators
These indicators provide information about the present state
of the instrument. Some of the indicators open up a dialog
box with more information or a settings menu when
selected. For details, see
2 OUTPUT view area
The green part of the home screen; displays the value of the
present outputs and status indicators.
3 Setting area
Shows the presently set measure range, voltage, and
current limit.
4 Soft-key areas
Shows the present setting values. You can change these
values by pressing the key below the screen.
By pressing the
Next
button, you can access additional
screens with more soft keys.
Soft-key areas for the power supply function
The 2281S display has multiple soft-key areas that you can access by pressing the
Next
soft key.
The soft-key areas give you front-panel access to some instrument settings so that you can change,
enable, or disable them quickly. The following topics describe the soft-key areas for the power supply
function.
