Interactions
Bridged Call Appearances
A bridged call appearance cannot activate/deactivate the “audix-rec” feature button. If the ready
indication tone is administered to play to all the parties on the call, then the tone will be heard by parties
on bridged call appearances; if the ready indication tone is administered to play to the initiator only, then
parties on the initiator's bridged call appearances will not hear the tone.
Call Park/Call Pickup
This feature works with Call Park and Call Pickup, with the latter recording stored in the voice mailbix of
the individual party who picks up the call.
Conference
When the AUDIX recording request is in process and the LED light for the feature button is flashing,
AUDIX recording will fail if anyone in the call conferences in another party. If the feature fails, the LED
light will go out.
When the AUDIX recording has started and the LED light for the feature button is lit steadily, any party
in the call shall be allowed to conference in another party. The recording shall continue.
If two calls both have AUDIX recording in progress, conferencing the two calls together will be denied.
Coverage Answer Group
An answer group contains up to eight members who act as a coverage point for another user. For
example, if several secretaries are responsible for answering a department's redirected calls, all the
secretaries could be assigned to an answer group. The answer group is assigned a group number, and that
group number appears in the department's coverage path. All phones in an answer group ring (alert)
simultaneously. Any member of the group can answer the call.
When a call is answered via coverage answer group, the parties in the call shall be able to press the
"audix-rec" button and record the conversation. The recording will be stored in the voice mailbox of the
individual party who answers the call.
Drop Last
After the AUDIX recording starts to record, then the recording initiator becomes the control party. If the
recording initiator presses the Drop button, the Audix recording will be stopped and the LED light goes
off. If other parties in the call press the Drop button, the button push will be denied. Subsequent
conference/transfer operations on the call will change the control party in the same way as before this
feature is introduced.
