EPICenter Reference Guide

Figure 128: The Topology View

The main components of the EPICenter Topology View are:

View

A unique, named hierarchy of maps, consisting of a root map and submaps, depending 
on the topology of the network. The current view name is displayed in the pull down 
field at the left of the icon bar.

Map

A collection of nodes and links. 

Map Hierarchy Tree 

The top portion of the left-hand panel, where the hierarchy of submaps in the current 
topology view is displayed. The name of the currently displayed map is highlighted. 

Map Alarm Status

The highest level alarm currently unacknowledged among the devices in the current 
map or any of its submaps. Devices and submaps within this map that have alarm 
propagation disabled do not contribute to this status. 

If the alarm icon has an “X” through it, this means alarm propagation has been 
disabled for this map or submap, and will not contribute to the alarm status of the next 
higher-level map.
