8.3.1 Inert Purge Gas Cylinder Change Procedure
This procedure will normally be done after "PRE-PURGE CYCLES" in conjunction with a process
gas cylinder change.
Before approaching a hazardous gas
cabinet for a cylinder change, verify that
there are no alarm labels displayed on the
screen and that the exhaust system is
functioning correctly. Only operators
trained in these procedures and the
hazardous gas system are allowed to
change cylinders.
Process gas back-stream hazard can exist
if the purge cylinder pressure drops below
200 psig (13.78 barg).
