4.2
Power Supply Connection
Each GASGUARD® System should be installed with an independent external circuit interrupting
device to remove power from the unit when maintenance on the controller is required and should be
Lockout/Tagout capable. This device should be rated as a minimum at 240 volts, 3 amps, 50/60 Hz
and 10,000 rms symmetrical ampere interrupting capacity. The device should be accessible to the
operators, marked as the disconnecting device for the gas cabinet, and must have the on/off position
clearly marked for the operator.
The power input must be wired to the terminals shown below. For additional detail on the power
connection, see Figure 4.3.
