Installing the server components

Database
You must install the cc database.
Prerequisites
The following requirements must be met before you can install the database components successfully.
• The Sybase database must be installed.
• The Sybase SQL Server service must be started.
• The Sybase BCKServer service must be started.
Installation
To install the cc database, follow these steps.
1. The guided installation is started. Select Database .
2. Click Install . The CIE Database dialog opens. Enter the following information.
3. Click OK . The Welcome dialog opens.
4. Click Next . The Choose Setup Type dialog opens.
5. Click Complete . The Sybase database setup dialog opens. Enter the following information.
6. Click Next . The Sybase Device Setup dialog opens.

Settings Comments
Database server The server name is displayed. You cannot change this setting.
User name As a general rule, use the user sa.
Password Enter the password. This is the password you used when installing the
Sybase database.

Host name of the
CORBA naming service Specify the host name or TCP/IP number of the PC running the Corba
naming service. Do
not use localhost as the host name.
Host name of TTrace
server Specify the host name or TCP/IP number of the PC running TTrace.
