amplifiers with only 4 audio inputs/outputs from amplifier. The AteÏs local-net can be a network of one
controller and a maximum up to 31 slave units including IDA8C (Switch Mode) and IDA8C (Matrix Mode)
in a local system.
IDA8SAB (Switch Mode) supports up to 4 sources including Evac/ Voice/ Music/ Back up. Each zone can
be routed to one of the system’s audio channels. The four channels can be switched ON/OFF in each
zone separately. In case of Evacuation, the three channels can be used as a second alarm channel.
IDA8SAB (Switch Mode) shall only require up to 4 channel amplifier and the amplifiers will act as a
backup amplifier in case of other amplifiers break down.
Security
In accordance with EN54-16, ISO 7240-16 and BS5839/8, full monitored supervision from paging
microphone capsule to the end of loudspeaker line.
Enhanced loudspeaker line surveillance for A/B zone wiring.
The IDA8SAB-SW supports redundant network cabling, wired as a redundant loop.
Connectivity
Up to 256 zones in a local network, and up to 8,192 zones in a global network.

Front Panel
System Fault LED:
This LED will light up when a system fault fault is detected.
G.Fault LED:
This LED will light up when a global fault is detected.
Bypass Mode LED:
This LED will light up if the IDA8C is in bypass mode.
Bypass Monitoring LED:
This LED will light up if the monitoring function is enabled. This LED will light up if monitoring of the
IDA8 is disabled by manual operation.
Global EVAC LED:
This LED will light up if the system is in EVAC paging state. This LED will light up if any of the IDA8
processor is performing the EVAC paging via Ateis-Net.
