Step 2: Assign which remote(PSS-AS, PPM-AS etc.) that is connected to the IDA8 processor as the
recording button on in the device configuration. Then click the remote icon to open its setting
window. After that, choose the key with the corresponded modified zones, then click [
]
button to
move the selected key from the left side to the right side, allowing the keys as the Remote Event
button for Modbus. See the picture as below,
Step 3: Connect the PDC Input component to the Network Paging component, and click Network
Paging component to open its setting window. Select [Peripheral Input] option as the Modbus type
and the Modbus channel that is corresponded to the PDC port on IDA8 processor. Then click [Compile]
and [Store] button.
Step 4: Set the Modbus address as 40007. This indicates the folder of recorded file. Set 1 as the
first folder, and 2 as the second folder, and so on.
Step 5: Set the Modbus address as 40006, the address is using the hex code, therefore, this
indicates the Modbus address will be set a 040x. x stands for Modbus channel.
Step 6: Set the Modbus address as 40015 and 40016. This indicates the duration of the recording
time.
Note: Set the default recording time as 0 to indicate the recording time is as 30 seconds.
Step 7: Now check the connected remote console, you will find the LED of the zone button that is
corresponded to the recording function is flashing, this indicates the remote console is at the
standby status of ready to record the message.
