Junction Box

Control Panel
Electrical junction boxes are devices that contain the wiring junctions that allow the chain-wiring of
peripherals such as PPM, URC etc. for the IDA8/ECS/LAP G2T processor.
Key features:
5 x RJ45 connectors for:
RS-485 MAIN-IN + AUDIO OUT: Connects to the PDC port of IDA8 or connects to the previous
JB.
RS485-SIDE: Connects to a URC device with 8 pin CAT5 cable.
MASTER PPM: Connects to a Master PPM using the supplied 10 pin CAT5 cable.
SLAVE PPM: Connects to the JB for Slave PPM with 8 pin CAT5 cable. Note: The Slave PPM
shares the same audio output with the Master PPM and can only be used as a microphone.
RS-485 MAIN-OUT: Connects to next JB.
2 x internal screw connectors for 0 dB audio:
AUDIO OUTPUT: Audio output from PPM microphone to audio processor.
AUDIO INPUT: Audio input from audio processor to PPM's speaker for monitoring
surveillance.
1 x input for additional 24V power supply. Depending on the distance between the
processor and PPM/URC etc. devices.
1 x internal switch inside the JB for PPM Master/Slave selection, see [Picture 1] below.
