3.2.7.2.1.2 Cascade with Multiple Devices
Cascade with multiple PPM/CD8/CD16/URC devices:
1. Only the connection between the first JB and the IDA8 processor can transmit the audio. You have
to wire the [AUDIO OUTPUT] for the second JB unit and the later JB units, see the blue line in
[Picture 1: IDA8].
2. Once using the additional power supply, switch the [Power Switch] selection to the [External
Power].
3. Connect the Master PPM using the ''MASTER PPM'' port with 10 Pin CAT5 cable, see the black line
in [Picture 1: IDA8].
4. Connect the Slave PPM using using the "SLAVE PPM" with 8 pin CAT5 cable, see the gray line in
[Picture 1: IDA8].
5. You can also connect the DNM device using the ''MASTER PPM'' port, and URC device for ''RS-485
SIDE'' port. This cable for this two device is used with 8 pin CAT5 cable, see the purple line and
green line in [Picture 1: IDA8].

For expandability, up to ten PPM units can be connected via junction boxes on one IDA8.
