The temperature of the cuvette is controlled based on
the relationship between the temperature and the
current.
(3) Input of Heating Temperature Program
Temperature program has 11 stages in total.
Among them, 1 (drying), 5 (ashing), 9 (atomizing), 10
(cleaning) and 11 (cooling) stages are set by default
(stages of other numbers are displayed in a subdued tone).
The default temperature program is applicable to a
standard solution or any solution having a simple matrix
composition.
In the cases as listed below, change the temperature
program as required.

The boiling point of a sample is significantly different
from that of water (dry stage).

Sample injection volume has been changed (dry stage).

Bumping is recognized in the dry/ash stage (dry/ash
stage).

A matrix modifier has been added (ash and atomize
stages).

It is desired to change the measurement concentration
range by increasing or decreasing the carrier gas
(atomize stage).
If bumping is recognized in the dry stage, then the most
likely cause is that the temperature of the cuvette was
raised too fast. Set a slightly longer ramp time (about 10 s).
If a matrix modifier is used, the ashing temperature can be
set to a value higher than the default, depending on how
effective it is. Carryover can be suppressed by setting a
higher clean-stage temperature. However, the life of the
cuvette will be reduced.
To change a setting for a stage, click the setting to change
its value. To add a dry/ash stage, click the stage number to
change the color of the entire row to blue and then click the
[Recall] button. To delete a stage, click the stage number to
change the color of the entire row to blue and then click the
[Delete] button.
