(6) Input for Concentration Correction
When a sample has been diluted through pretreatment, the
original concentration can be calculated. For this purpose,
enter numerics into the [Weight], [Solvent], [Dil. Factor] and
[Factor] columns. When calculation for concentration
correction is not particularly required, then changes need
not be made (“1” is entered in all items). Recalculation
upon changing the factors can be made at the end of
measurement.
Concentration is calculated according to the formula
below.
C = C
0
(L/W)
D
F
C : Concentration in original substance
C
0
: Measured
concentration
W : Weight
L : Solvent volume
D : Dilution factor
F : Correction factor
When the same numerical values will be entered for
each sample, select the row to be copied, click the
[Copy Conc. Correct.] button, then select the row of the
copy destination, and click the [Paste Conc. Correct.]
button. The unit may change with the value entered. If
this is the case, check the [UNK Sample Unit].
Example: A solution with 1.000 mg sample A
dissolved in 100 ml of the solvent is
measured. The concentration of the target
element in sample A is calculated when the
obtained concentration of the element is C0
[mg/l].
C0[mg/l]×100[ml]/1.000[mg]
=
C[mg/g]
・・・
Concentration of the target
element in sample A
The unit for the measured concentration is [mg/l] but the
unit for the corrected concentration is [mg/g].
