1.3 Supply of Gases

(1) Prepare the fuel and auxiliary gases in accordance with the

atomizer to be used.

Air

The high-temperature burner and Hg cell are options.

Refer to their respective instruction manuals for using
these items.



When air alone is employed for the standard or high-

temperature burner, it is used for cleaning or drying of
the burner head.

(2) When a compressor is used for air, turn on power to the

compressor. For compressed gases, open the main valve
of each gas cylinder.

NOTE

: Solvent such as acetone is included in the acetylene

cylinder. To prevent deterioration of gas piping or
damage to the instrument due to the outflow of solvent,
replace the cylinder with a new one when gas pressure
(primary pressure) degreases to 0.5 MPa. Firmly
fasten the main cock of each cylinder after use.

(3) Set the secondary pressure (supply pressure) of each gas

as follows.

: Open the air valve after the pressure of the
