Determination
Mode
[Absorbance] is used to measure the absorbance of a
solution but does not quantify the solution.
[Working Curve] is used to perform quantitative analysis
of a sample in which coexisting materials contained in
an unknown sample do not affect the atomization of the
element.
[STD Add.] is used to perform quantitative analysis of a
sample in which coexisting materials contained in an
unknown sample affect the atomization of the element.
It can be used with only one sample.
[Simple STD Add.] is used to perform quantitative
analysis of a sample in which coexisting materials
contained in an unknown sample affect the atomization
of the element. Multiple samples containing similar
coexisting materials are quantified with one working
curve.

For the details of [Absorbance], [STD Add.] and [Simple
STD Add.], refer to “5.1 Various Measurement
Methods.”
Order
Specify the order of working curve. [Linear] or
[Quadratic] is normally selected.
In graphite furnace analysis, the working curve generally
tends to be bent above an absorbance of 0.2 to 0.3,
which differs from one element to another. When the
working curve is bent, the “Quadratic” order may be
better. At a higher absorbance, the “Cubic” order may
fit better. However, such a bent working curve is not
suitable for quantitative analysis.
Since recalculation with the Order changed can be done
after the end of measurement, it may be better to leave
this setting at [Linear] when uncertain about the proper
order.
No. of STDs
Specify the number of standard solutions (usually 3 to 5).
Input range is from 2 to 10. From about 3 to 5
standards is normally sufficient.
Input range is from 1 to 20.
