3.5 Check of Optical Axis of Atomizer
CAUTION
Strong Magnetic Fields!
Be careful not to let your hand get attracted to the magnet.
Do not bring metal objects including iron, such as a
screwdriver, near the magnet.
Make sure the slot in the burner head is parallel to the magnet.
If inclined, rotate the burner head by hand so that the slot is
parallel to the magnet.
NOTE
: The burner head maintains a high temperature
immediately after the flame is off. Make sure the
temperature is sufficiently lowered before touching the
burner head.
3.6 Supply of Cooling Water
Supply cooling water to the instrument.
NOTES
: 1. A water flow of about 0.8 L/min or higher and
within a pressure range of 35 to 50 kPa (about
0.35 to 0.5 kgf/cm
2
) is required. Note that if the
cooling water temperature is much lower than the
room temperature, condensation may form on the
burner head or magnet.
The water temperature should be kept within a
range of room temperature ±5 °C.
2. To prevent the formation of condensation on
burner head or magnet, supply cooling water just
before igniting the flame.
