Interface Module RS-232
Data Transfer Interface Module
The System 1 provides perfusion case data transfer through the use of the data
transfer module. This module is a general purpose serial interface and is the interface
between the TLink™ Data Management System and the system.
The data collected and exported by the data transfer module includes physiological
data and device events to record the progress and events during a procedure.
TLink™ Data Management System runs on a computer used in the operating room
during a case. The System 1 is connected to the computer that runs the software
via the data transfer module. The protocol accepted through the serial port on the
external computer determines which Interface Module should be used. In order for
data to be recognized by TLink™ Data Management System, device names must be
selected from the list of predefined names while configuring a case.
The cable provided with the Interface Module RS-232 has a DB9 connector, male to
female, with pins wired in offset-null configuration. This cable is NOT interchangeable
with the serial cables used with the CDI Interface Modules.
Note: Customers not using the TLink™ Data Management System are able to
interface and use the data transfer module output by referring to the Communication
Protocol
in the
Technical Support
chapter.
