Note:
Regardless of the digital filters selected here, a further input filter ("prefilter") can
be looped into the measurement path. Moreover, the analog bandwidth can be restric-
ted with the aid of the "Bandwidth" parameter field, which corresponds to an additional
lowpass filter.
Remote command:
For a description of the filters and their setting parameters, see
Frq Lim Low
The frequency range set in the Chirp generator function can be limited for the evalua-
tion.
If the selected "Frq Lim Low" value is higher than the Start Freq value, the time from
the "Start Freq" value of the generator up to the point where the "Frq Lim Low" value is
reached is not displayed in the sweep graphic. In this way it is possible to, for example,
hide the settling characteristics of a DUT in the sweep graphic.
Remote command:
SENSe[1]:FREQuency:LIMit:LOWer
Frq Lim Upp
Specifies the upper frequency limit for THD calculation. Should be choosen only as
high as needed as the frequency range influences the calculation time. The harmonic
of number n is calculated up to the Generator Stop Frequency or to (Frq Lim Upp)/n,
whatever is lower.
Remote command:
SENSe[1]:FREQuency:LIMit:UPPer

Data Buffers
On completion of the measurement, the traces of the selected chirp
‑
based measure-
ment functions are shown in the sweep graphics. At the same time, this data is availa-
ble in the internal data buffers in the same display units that were selected in the corre-
sponding sweep subsystem. The raw data for Freq. Response, Phase Response and
the harmonics are additionally available in the basic units V, FS or degrees.
The data of the chirp
‑
based measurement is stored in max. 89 data buffers and can be
read out using the SCPI command
,
whereby the suffix <i> represents the values 1 to 89.
A maximum of 1024 data buffers can be addressed. Data buffers 90 to 1024 are not
used by the chirp
‑
based measurement and are freely available. All 1024 data buffers
are freely available outside the chirp
‑
based measurement.
The content of the internal data buffers is split into
trace data
and
raw data
. The trace
data is available in exactly the same number as the sweep reference points in the
sweep graphics and is calculated from the raw data. The number of values in a raw
data set is always considerably higher than in a trace data set. The values of both data
sets are always in the basic units. However, the trace data sets can also be read out in
the unit which was selected in the graphical display. The values on the x
‑
axis are
