The available selection depends on the settings made in the combo boxes (6) and
(7). The entries are self
‑
explanatory.
Example: If the "Analog, balanced" output has been selected in the combo box (6)
for signal feed to the DUT, the measurement task "D/A Linearity" is
not available as
this is intended only for a digital output.
Selection of a measurement task sets up the R&S UPP audio analyzer accordingly
without further action being required. With some measurement tasks, the measure-
ment must be started by clicking the "Start continuous measurement" or "Start sin-
gle measurement" button (13).
If a "Measurement Task" is selected in the quickstart panel, screens 1 to 4 display
the settings as well as the numeric and/or graphical displays for the selected mea-
surement tasks.

Example: Adjustment of the start and stop frequency for a frequency response
measurement.

Example: Switching over the input coupling from AC to DC.

Meaning of the buttons from left to right:
● Start continuous measurement
● Start single measurement
● Pause / continue measurement
● Switch to expert mode : Access to the full range of functions of the audio ana-
lyzer.
● Autoscale graph : One
‑
off automatic scaling of the graphical display based on
the current minimum and maximum values of the curves or bars.
● Set to reference : The Y value of the curve is used as a reference value once
at the value 1000 Hz or 997 Hz (1000 Hz with analog measurements, 997 Hz
with digital measurements), provided that the Y axis of the graphical display is
shown in dBr. The curve is adjusted to 0 dBr at this point.

When the audio analyzer is switched on, the quickstart panel is available in
screen 5 without it having to be called specifically.
3.3.4.4 Tool tips
All the controls in the quickstart panel have so
‑
called tool tips. If you hold the mouse
pointer over a control for approx. 1 second, a brief description of the function appears.
