"Total Cont"
The chirp is played back in a loop; after the "Interval" time expires,
playback jumps back to the beginning of the signal without interrup-
tion. Cannot be selected if the analyzer function is set to "Chirp
Based Measurement".
"Total Single"
The chirp is played back once, after which the generator is muted.
This setting is selected automatically if the analyzer function is set to
"Chirp Based Measurement". The chirp is played once per measure-
ment. An "Interval" length cannot be set, but is determined internally
by the chirp and result calculation time.
Remote command:
Start Freq
Start frequency of the logarithmic sine

wave sweep. If used as the excitation signal for
the chirp
‑
based measurement, this value must be less than the "Stop Freq".
Remote command:
Stop Freq
Stop frequency of the logarithmic sine

wave sweep.
Remote command:
Volt Peak
Peak value of the chirp. Changing this value results in a change to the RMS value in
the next operator field.
Remote command:
Volt RMS
RMS value of the chirp over the sweep time to be set in the next operator field. Chang-
ing this value results in a change to the peak value in the operator field above.
Remote command:
Sweep Time
Time from "Start Freq" to "Stop Freq". A change to the sweep time results in a change
to the RMS value. The change affects the ratio between the peak value and the RMS
value of the two operator fields above. In addition, the change affects the content of the
display fields "Resolution" and "Points" of the analyzer measurement function "Chirp
based Measurement". In the figure above, "Sweep Time" is 100 ms.
