Symbols for conveniently loading predefined instrument settings or starting macros
using the mouse. For the settings for this purpose, see
Chapter 4.9, "Settings in the
Menu Bar" , on page 170.
Starts the "R&S UPX Sequencing" software. This is a program that the allows the user
to run test sequences.
4.11 Settings in the Operating System
The R&S UPP is equipped with the Windows operating system. Settings at system
level are only rarely required, e.g. installation of a new printer driver.
Connecting a keyboard and mouse makes Windows easier to use.
4.12 Auxiliaries Panel
In the "Auxiliaries" panel, the "Audio Monitor" add-on function can be selected for set-
ting the monitor function for viewing analyzer signals and settings for the trigger output.
It is divided into the following sections:

Audio Monitor , for configuring the audio-monitoring functions
●
Trigger Output , for configuring the trigger output at the rear of the instrument
4.12.1 Audio Monitor Function
The monitor outputs (BNC sockets on the rear panel) permit the monitoring of analog
or digital input signals (referred to as "Monitoring" in this document), both directly at the
Audio Analyzer input and downstream of any filters that may be active. They also per-
mit DC voltage output for supplying power to DUTs or external circuits.
