Conventions for Procedure Descriptions
When describing how to operate the instrument, several alternative methods may be
available to perform the same task. In this case, the procedure using the touchscreen
is described. The alternative procedure using the keys on the instrument or the on-
screen keyboard is only described if it deviates from the standard operating proce-
dures.
The term "select" may refer to any of the described methods, i.e. using a finger on the
touchscreen or a key on the instrument or on a keyboard.

Other Conventions
Remote commands may include abbreviations to simplify input. In the description of
such commands, all parts that have to be entered are written in capital letters. Addi-
tional text in lower-case characters is for information only.
