PCU Parameters and Operating Data
The functions and classification of the PCU's parameters and operating data are shown in the following table.
A comparison of individual parameters and operating data, and operating precautions are provided in the fol-
lowing pages.

ter Area Used to allocate the Operating Data
Area and designates the Axis Param-
eters.
The area is set in the PLC's DM Area
words allocated to Special I/O Units. Common Parame-

The settings are written to the PCU's
internal memory using the data trans-

Axis Parameter
Area Used to allocate each Axis's operat-

Area The Axis Parameter Areas are used
to select operating modes (origin
search) and input signals.

Some Axis Parameters are set as
command values in the Axis Operat-
ing Memory Areas and are used as
operating data.
Other existing PCU Axis Parameters
are set to the corresponding Servo
Parameters.
Operating Memory
Area Used to input and output bit data,
such as operating command outputs
and status (flags) inputs.
The area is allocated in the Special
I/O Unit Area and is determined
according to the unit number set for

Servo Parameter
Area The I/O information (bit and word
data) is handled in the Axis Operating
Output Memory Areas and Axis Oper-
ating Input Memory Areas as output
data and input data, respectively.
The Axis Operating Output Memory
Areas and Axis Operating Input Mem-
ory Areas are allocated in the PLC's
memory according to the settings in
the Common Parameters.
Acceleration/deceleration data is set
in the Servo Parameters.
Operating Memory
Data Used to input and output parameter
data, such as position command
value outputs and present position
inputs.
The area is allocated in the PLC's DM
Area according to the setting in the
Common Parameter Area.
Memory operation
data Used to set the position/speed data
for memory operations.
The settings are written to the PCU's
internal memory using the data trans-
fer functions. --- Memory operation functions are not
provided.
Zone data Used to set the zones.
The settings are written to the PCU's
internal memory using the data trans-
fer functions. --- A zone function is not provided.
--- --- Common Operating
Memory Area Performs operations common to the
PCU such as MECHATROLINK com-
munications control.
The allocated area is contained in the
PLC's CPU Bus Unit Memory Area
according to the PCU's unit number.
