Troubleshooting and Diagnostics
Diluent/Sheath, HGB Lyse, or WBC Lyse empty/
SB and BL

1. Container is empty.
1. Install a new container of reagent.
Press
[CLEAR FAULT]
to resume
operation.
NOTE:
Do not pour any remaining reagent into the new container.
2. Reagent inlet tubing is crimped or
obstructed.
2. Inspect the whole length of the inlet
tubing to ensure it is not crimped
and/or remove any obstruction.
3. Reagent line is not on the bottom of
the container.
3. Ensure that the line is properly
inserted in the container and the
sinker is on the bottom of the
container.
4. An incorrect reagent or a
nonconductive liquid is connected to
the inlet tube.
4. Check the label on the reagent
container to be sure the correct
reagent is installed. Trace the line to
the inlet connector and ensure that it
is connected to the correct one.
Check the connection to be sure it is
secure and then press
[CLEAR
FAULT]
.
5. Appropriate syringe not mounted
properly.
5. Check proper mounting of syringes.
6. The Luer fitting connection on the
top of the appropriate syringe is
loose.
6. Verify the Luer connection on the
top of syringes is secure.
7. WBC Lyse or HGB Lyse only:
tubing in solenoid valve is pinched
or not fully inserted.
7a.Check tubing in N/C valves 23
(WBC Lyse) or 28 (HGB Lyse) is
not pinched or obstructed; replace
as necessary.
7b.Verify tubings are fully inserted in
solenoids 23, 25 (WBC Lyse) and
28, 24 (HGB Lyse).
8. Circuitry malfunction.
