Chapter 12

Replace the Silver Seal

Maintaining an Electron Capture Detector

Maintenance and Troubleshooting Manual

4. Disconnect the signal, excitation and heater 

cables from the detector.

5. Loosen the nut that fixes the detector to its base 

body with the proper tool contained in the 
standard outfit.

6. Remove the detector from its base body.

7. Using tweezers, remove the worn silver seal 

from its housing in the base body.
