9. Remove the filter from its line.
Regenerating the Active Carbon Filter
10. Connect the inlet of the filter to the external nitrogen line by using the proper
nut and ferrule. Make sure that the arrow printed on the filter indicates the
outlet direction of the gas as shown in the next figure.

17. Set a supply gas pressure of 0.5 bar to obtain a flow of at least 100 mL/min.
18. Place the filter into an external oven (or into the column oven of the GC).
Keep the filter at a temperature of 300 °C for two hours.
19. At the end of the regeneration, cool the oven (or column oven of the GC) and
remove the filter.
20. Disconnect external nitrogen line from the filter and remount it on the GC.
21. Remount the GC cover
22. Restart the GC.
