5 mm

Insert the spacer into the flange, letting it stand
out for about 5 mm.

17. Insert a new graphite seal on the spacer,

pushing it slowly until it touches the flange.

18. Insert the flange into the detector body and fix it

tightening the three Allen screws.

19. Using a clean paper towel, clean the mirror

surface of the plug. If necessary, use a solvent
as methylene chloride or methanol to remove
deposits and a metal polishing paste to restore it
to the previous reflectivity.
