Risk of damaging the power sensor
Because of high input power,

The continuous power applied to the power sensor’s input must not exceed 1W (30
dBm).
●
Use an attenuator for measurements on high-power transmitters.
However, brief power peaks ≤ 10 μs up to 2 W (33 dBm) are permissible.
Signal source output
When the "SigGen On" softkey is activated, the R&S Cable Rider ZPH provides a sig-
nal source which you can use to perform a cable loss measurement in DUT. See

A typical setup before power meter measurement requires the need to perform a cali-
bration procedure on the R&S Cable Rider ZPH. See
After performing the calibration procedure, the R&S Cable Rider ZPH is ready for
power meter measurement.
Measuring the power
1. Press the MODE key.
2. Select the "Power Meter" softkey.
The R&S Cable Rider ZPH switches its operating mode and shows the measured
power level in dBm.
