CTL failure

Overview

The procedure described below should be performed if a CTL failure occurs (see
chapter 5, section

“Mounting the circuit packs” (p. 5-52)

Proceed as follows in the case of a CTL failure:

Check that the CTL unit is plugged correctly.

the failure is not solved (same
behavior as before),

proceed to Step 2.

Reset the CTL unit. To do this, open the latches simultaneously and wait until the
“Fault” LED on the CTL is illuminated continuously. Then remove the controller from
the slot and check that the

CompactFlash

™

card is plugged correctly. If that is the case

reinsert the controller. The NE automatically performs a system reset (takes about
twenty minutes).

Perform a reload of the NE software to the

CompactFlash

™
