Procedure

Proceed as follows to establish a protected ring configuration:

Connect an optical fiber to the NE-A OUT port of the optical circuit pack to be used in
this test.

Move to NE-B. At the IN port of the respective optical circuit pack measure the
received optical power from the far-end transmitter.

Important!

The optical power meter must be set to the appropriate wavelength

range.
