Multi coax cable
The multi coax cable (4.1 mm coax) has 8 straight or 45° 1.6/5.6 male connectors at
the subrack side and a blunt end at the DDF side. One cable contains 4 channels.
Protected STM-1e routing
Protected STM-1e cabling can be done with and without the use of a rack extension
(width). However, the use of a rack extension makes the cable routing much easier.
General information
The STM-1e cables need to be routed loosely (with some slack) to allow service
engineers to pull out an STM-1e interface paddle board without affecting traffic of an
adjacent interface.
