Mounting a fan unit

Before you begin

The procedure described below (“Fan unit mounting”) must only be performed if an
additional fan unit is required (2 fan units in one MADM subrack). In that case the
additional fan unit (CC848862355) and an additional filter (CC848904108) must be
ordered separately.

NOTE:

One fan blank (CC848900056) and one fan unit are already mounted at

MADM subrack delivery. The fan unit is mounted at the subrack bottom and the fan
blank in the middle of the subrack.

Procedure

Proceed as follows to mount an additional fan unit:

Remove the fan blank (CC848900056, item 1) from the subrack as shown in the figure
below. To do this remove the screws on both sides of the unit.

Install the fan unit (CC848862355, item 2) by using the screw in the middle of the
unit.

Install a washable filter (CC848904108, item 3) below the installed fan unit.
